Padua Center Celebrates Earth Day and New Ramp Ribbon Cutting!

Representative Marcy Kaptur visited with Jason Askins, Tyler, Kyle Besner and Wade Smith as the Hoop House was erected. The majority of the hoop house was put up on April 18, 2015. Jason Askins, P.E. was coordinator for the project. Tyler is our videographer, Kyle Besner is with “Engineers without Borders” and Wade Smith of Daylily Farms previously owned the Hoop House and was instrumental in assisting in the erection of this garden system.

Tree Toledo arrived at Padua Center on Earth Day, April 22 at 4:00 PM to plant two trees. The children assisted in planting an apricot tree and a redbud. The cold weather and brisk wind kept the children bundled up.

Jim Etzel is ready to cut the ribbon at the ramp dedication at Padua Center on Tuesday, April 21. Thanks to the Toledo Rotary for the grant that paid for the ramp.
