Padua Center’s mission is to empower all people. Monthly the Kwanzaa Park Neighbors assemble and listen to speakers, discuss neighborhood and city issues. The meeting is also a Block Watch, and the Police give a monthly report.
For the April meeting Nancy Gurney, a League of Women voters member and in charge of the Fair Districts group, also known as Citizens Not Politicians, will be the guest speaker. Ms. Gurney will speak of the movement to end Gerrymandering in the State of Ohio by having a Constitutional Amendment to address the issue. Ohio is one of the most Gerrymandered States and is unfair to voters.
Light refreshments will be served. The community is welcome to attend and enjoy conversations and help plan future activities for the neighborhood. Regular meetings are held on the first Thursday of each month at 6:00 pm in the evening at the Padua Center which offers a ramp for easy access for those in need and ample parking off Junction Street.
The Kwanzaa Park Neighborhood is bordered by Dorr, Hawley, Brown, and Campbell Streets, but all interested persons are welcome.
