Jodie L. Summers, Guest Speaker
The next Kwanzaa Park Neighbors’ meeting will occur on Thursday August 3 at 6:00 PM. The featured speaker will be Jodie L. Summers, activist, actor, poet and author. Jodie is releasing his second book, Spoken Truth and he has been a popular speaker in Toledo and throughout the country.
Jodie is a graduate of Woodward High School and attended Owen Community College. He is an artist with the Glass City Talent 419. He recently won the I Have a Dream Poetry Slam and makes the best Marconi and Cheese in Lucas County!
The community is welcome to attend and enjoy conversation and complimentary refreshments. Padua Center hosts monthly Kwanzaa Park Neighbors’ meetings at 1416 Nebraska Avenue; the center offers a ramp for easy access for those in need and ample parking off Junction Street.
The Kwanzaa Park Neighborhood borders Dorr, Hawley, Brown and Campbell Streets, but all interested persons are welcome.
