Diocese of Toledo Plans to Demolish St. Anthony of Padua Church

Temporary Re-location

St Anthony of Padua Church

St Anthony of Padua Church

L. J. Irving Demolition of Napoleon, Ohio will do the demolition. They plan on beginning the first part of June and project that the demolition will take about two months. They will be blocking Junction and Nebraska St. at times during the demolition.

They plan on beginning on the Junction Street side and removing the steeple first and then moving west down the sides of the church. They will not implode or use a wrecking ball. It is will be a very controlled demolition.

While they are on site they will have security hired to patrol the campus and protect the site from children wandering onto the site and endangering themselves, and from vandals and/or thieves.

During the demolition all activities of Padua Center will be moved to St. Martin de Porres Parish, 1119 West Bancroft Street. Padua Center will not conduct any business on the Nebraska Ave location.

Summer Camps will continue at St. Martin de Porres. We will attempt to keep the gardening going as well as we can without access to Padua Center buildings.

The Kwanzaa Park Neighbors Meetings will be held on June 7, July 5, and August 2 at St. Martin de Porres, as will the NA meetings and the CSRN meetings.

If you have any questions, or concerns about the demolition call Padua Center at (419) 241-6465.
