The Kwanzaa Park Neighbors will welcome Alondria Wright, “Building Up Seniors in Tech” to the regular monthly Block Watch meeting, on November 7, 2024 at Padua Center. Alondria Wright will speak on Technology for Seniors. There is always something new in technology and Alondria Wright will lead the conversation on making technology user friendly.

Officer Emly Felser, of the Toledo Police, will present the crime statistics for the neighborhood. At each meeting there is the opportunity for residents to raise issues and ask questions about crime in the neighborhood. Guidance is given to the residents concerning issues such as abandoned cars, unkept yards, etc. This is a very important part of each meeting.

Padua Center will recognize Florence McLennan, City-wide Block Watch Chairperson for her contributions across the city, but specifically for her steady attendance and support of the Kwanzaa Park Neighbors. Florence will be moving out of Toledo and this will be her last meeting.

The Block Watch meeting offers an opportunity for neighbors to share concerns of the neighborhood and to work with the Police and Fire Departments to enhance safety.

Padua Center is handicapped accessible. Parking is available on Nebraska Avenue as well as behind the Center, entering off Junction Avenue.

The Center will serve refreshments.
